The Learning Center

Alternative Education at BMHS

A Unique Alternative to Traditional Learning
Bradshaw Mountain High School (BMHS) offers The Learning Center (TLC), an alternative education program designed for students who are unable to attend classes on the main campus but still want to pursue a high school diploma. This program provides a supportive, structured environment where students can complete coursework at their own pace. Participation is free of charge.

Customized Learning Plans
Counselors create individualized course plans that allow students to:

  • Earn required credits to return to the main campus.
  • Complete graduation requirements and earn a diploma.

Flexible Schedule
To be considered full-time, students must attend a 4-hour session and attempt to pass two classes every six weeks. Class sessions are available:

  • 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • 9:30 AM – 2:15 PM

Highly Qualified Support
The lab is staffed by experienced instructors, and each class is supported by certified online teachers. Students benefit from small class sizes and personalized attention, helping them stay on track and succeed.

Self-Paced and Accelerated Learning
TLC offers open-entry courses, meaning students can begin at any time during the school year and complete courses once all assignments are submitted. Students can also accelerate their progress by submitting additional assignments from home. Credits are transcribed by the registrar and added to the student’s permanent record.

How to Enroll
Admittance to the TLC program is handled through the Counseling Center. To get started, contact the office at 928-759-4124.
